What to expect in this course
Welcome to ‘Cooking at Home with Veet’
A vegan cooking program
I am Veet and you will be cooking at home with me in your kitchen from my kitchen. I live in Mullumbimby, a country town in the Northern Rivers Area of NSW Australia. Mullumbimby is very close to the well-known seaside town of Byron Bay. We have a weekly farmer’s market where local farmers sell amazing organic produce. We have access to a fabulous non-for-profit health food shop called Santos. We also have a community run organic bulk foods co-op called Mullumbimby Organic Food Co-op.
Cooking and teaching are my passions, so I am ecstatic that you have chosen to come and learn with me, in my kitchen from your kitchen. I cannot wait to meet you.
This online course has been designed to help you:
- become creative in the kitchen
- learn how to put together delicious meals
- learn how cook with ingredients that are available to you wherever you are right now in the world.

A note on organics
In this beautiful part of Australia, I am lucky enough to have access to amazing organic produce. Within my recipes I do not specify whether ingredients are organic or not as everything I use is organic. I will leave it up to you if you choose to use organic ingredients or not. However, when it comes to sprouting, it is essential you buy organic for the legumes to sprout. I will explain this in more detail in Module 3.
